I’m super excited to get to know you. Let me share a little about myself so that you can get a feel for the kind of person who will be creating your illustration.
I’ve been a freelance illustrator and photographer for the past five years, alongside my day job at a wildlife conservation NGO. I live in beautiful Cambridge with Bill, my border collie. Although I’ve worked with many different creative mediums, watercolour is by far my favourite and has been my primary focus for the past few years.
I love telling stories through my illustrations. If I look back at my favourite pieces - they’re all scenes where it feels like you’ve come across the characters in the middle of an adventure, and they’ll resume their story the moment you glance away.
If this sort of whimsical, storylike vibe resonates with you - I’d love to work with you! I’ve worked with a lot of clients over the years, and I’ve discovered that I most enjoy working with clients who have a general direction they’d like to go (i.e. an specific animal, or some special elements they’d like snuck in, like a favourite toy or momento), but who are happy to step back and trust me to bring a beautiful scene to life.
This sort of collaboration - where you help spark the creative process, and then are happy to step back and see where it goes - has always led to the most compelling illustrations where my clients are beyond delighted with the results. So if this sounds like something you’d get excited about being involved in - please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you!
